Dialog Axiata has recently introduced a Value Added Service called “HD Pack” to their satellite television product named “Dialog TV”.
HD channels included in this package are “Star Movies HD”, “AXN HD”, “TEN HD”, “National Geographic Channel HD”. Along with these several standard channels are offered as well (You can read more about Dialog TV HD Pack on Dialog website.). Among them happens to be “History Channel” which I always wanted through my TV.
Following is a tweet I once tweeted at @dialoglk, which never got any response.
@dialoglk I wonder why @HistoryChannel isn’t in your channel list. I’ll totally subscribe to it.

Seeing something about History Channel in Dialog website totally got me over the moon. So I went to the page of their website which has channel identification numbers listed, so I can request them to activate History Channel on my Dialog TV subscription (For those who didn’t know, there is an option to activate individual channel on your subscription.). But History Channel wasn’t listed there!!!
Thinking they might not have updated the page yet, I went to the live chat section of the Dialog website. This is what the chat turned out to be:
Why on earth wouldn’t they want to sell Non-HD channels included in HD Pack (Namely “BBC entertainment”, “Fashion TV”, “History Channel” and “TEN ACTION”) as individual channels? Personally for me, it’s “Just give me the damn History thing!!!”.
Update 2012-06-21-1850h
I mentioned @dialoglk in a tweet later today:
@dialoglk Why can’t I subscribe to @HistoryChannel without purchasing #DTVonHD ?

To which they replied with this:
@budhajeewa We’re looking into your request. Will let you know soon.
