In a previous post in this blog – called “Why Twitter is for finding new friends and Facebook is for keeping-up with them” – I told you that you shouldn’t go looking for “friends” through Facebook, as you are risking your sensitive information posted to your Facebook profile with every person you add as a friend in Facebook.
But there going to be people who are requesting to add you as a friend in Facebook. You can’t tell whether they are just “collecting friends” randomly, or really intended to connect with you. Obviously you can’t – and you shouldn’t – ignore all the friend requests you are getting.
Regardless of whether you wanted to add a person as a friend or s/he wanted to add you, s/he can view all of your publicly posted information in your Facebook profiles, and your other friends’ information in some cases (if those friends are allowing their information to be viewed by friends of friends.).

The reason for your company’s or organization’s existence is people. Your company is there to serve people with some kind of service or product. That makes communicating and keeping-up with people an important matter for a company’s well-being.
To reach your customers in the cyber world, your company should use social mediums such as Twitter and Facebook. Though many companies among us have set-up their Twitter and Facebook pages, only a few of them are putting them to the right use. You can use your Google Account as your OpenID. There are websites that allows you to directly login using your Google Account, or you can use your Google Profile address as your OpenID address (You can find your Google Profile address by visiting http://www.google.com/profiles (You need to have your Google Profile set-up before using that.).). Facebook currently has two types of profile pages. The first type is “Personal Profiles”, which are meant to be representing persons, and the second type is “Public Profiles”, which are meant to be representing public entities such as organizations, music bands, educational institutes etc. You “Add as Friend” “Personal Profiles” and you “Like” “Public Profiles”.
